Helio Castroneves, the two-time Indy 500 champ and IndyCar racing standout, is on trial for allegedly hiding more than $5 million and not paying any taxes on it. It’s the third day of deliberations in the tax evasion trial of and the jury has yet to come back with a verdict. We don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing for Helio, but we guess it means he still has a fighting chance.

In a move that could be seen as desperate by the defense lawyers, they motioned for a mistrial today. If that motion was granted, the whole works would have been thrown out the window. That motion was not granted.
