Charlotte Truck Driver Has Gone 3.5 Million Accident Free Miles; Wins National Championship

Professional truck drivers, truly professional truck drivers, should be admired for their dedication to safety and their skill at wheeling big rigs through all situations. Mick Simpson is one of the guys who is at the top of that list. He’s racked up an amazing safety record and captured a national driving title to boot.

Simpson has driven an amazing 3.5 million miles without being involved in an accident. He’s also good on equipment, having put more than 750,000 miles on his current rig. It is a testament to someone doing their job the right way, every day. Anyone who has had the pleasure or misfortune of managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers can attest to the fact that guys like Mick Simpson are not growing on trees.

Simpson also showcased his technical driving skills by taking home the flatbed division national championship and the National Truck Driving Championships in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The Charlotte Observer rightly profiled Simpson and his accomplishments.

This dude has mad skills!
