The Challenger Drag Pak is kind of the forgotten sister to the haul-ass Ford Cobra Jet Mustang. Chrysler is now taking orders for 2010 models and if you want one, you’d better print your order form and get it into a dealer stat. These are ultra limited production cars so when they’re gone, they’re gone. These cars differ from the Fords because the Cobra Jet is a turn-key car. The Drag Pak Challenger is not.
To quote from the sales literature on the Drag Pak, “The Mopar Dodge Drag Pak will require significant additional preparation to be considered “race ready.” No roll cage, safety net, or other necessary safety equipment is provided in the package.
The other catches come in the form of stuff like the fact the car must be picked up at the factory, ships with no transmission or rear end, and has no VIN tag so it can never officially see road duty. The Hemi that comes in the car is a 12:1 compression engine that uses a special high rise intake manifold so power will not be in short supply.
If you’re a Mopar freak and you want one of these cars it is time oto act before all the land is sold.
