As the Jeremy Mayfield saga continues to wear on, more and more columnists have been offering their opinions onthe case. One of the most lucid of these columns we read was a submission from Tom Jensen that ran on SpeedTV.com.

Tom does a good job breaking down Mayfield’s career and also breaking down the finer points of the mess that has been unraveling since Mayfield failed a drug test earlier this year. He certainly thinks that this whole episode is a dark period for NASCAR.
