Nope, we didn’t spell that wrong. Doorthy’s Place is a neat little corner of the web that celebrates a dude who has a kick ass home shop where all his buddies hang out and wrench on their junk. It also contains the story of Doorthy, a 1962 Chevy Bel Air airport limo with eight freaking doors.
This place seems like the ultimate gearhead buddy club house. The website is cooler than cool because it follows the entire history of the Chevy airport limo and also includes the rides of the guys who hang out at the shop.
We love dropping by and hanging out at guy’s shops, but you really can’t evade the feeling of being in the way. At Doorthy’s place, because it is just friends wrenching on their own stuff, that feeling must be totally vacant.
