We saw this awesome truck over at CarDomain and it’s been keeping us up at night with the sweats. It looks like a 1956 Chevy, and the cab is, but it is sitting on a 6500-series medium-duty truck chassis.
The big wheels and tires, the paint, the vintage 261ci six under the hood, and the subtle fabrication work done to pull it all together add up to create the most unique pick-up we have seen in quite some time.
We like the owner/builder’s restraint in sticking to single rear tires as opposed to the duals that would have been on that axle normally. Had he gone with a dually setup, he would have had to widen the rear fenders so much that it would have looked cartoonish. The proportions are what really seals the deal for us on this piece. Even the chopped top works right.
