We ran across the trailer for a new movie that is available to buy called “Drag Racing Dreams”. Don Garlits is involved with the project and the film seems to contain bitchin’ old footage along with interviews with living drag racing legends like Don Prudhomme, Garlits, Muldowney, and even the oft seen and seldom heard Chris Karamesines. That in itself would be worth the price of admission, because the soft spoken “Greek” has more stories and adventures than virtually any other drag racer in history, and he’s still at it!
In doing some digging, it appears that this is the first of what will be six videos based around drag racing history. We’re not sure if they will all be packaged up and sold as a box set or if they will be single releases. We’re going to score a copt of this one, simply because we want it for our historical archive. None of these legends are getting any younger and the march of time will continue to slowly claim them until all we have are films like this one.
