We’re leaving the comfy confines of the Big Three with this week’s Cool Old Press Photos feature and checking out the 1957 Hudson Hornets, now packing fire-breathing 327ci V8 power.
These cars were offered, as shown, in both sedan and coupe versions and aside from the extra pair of doors, they appear to be identical in every other way. The 255hp engines are hyped in the release as well as the styling changes.
These cars are lower than the models they replaced and feature “graceful” rear fins, dual fin front fender ornaments, and blingin’ 14-inch wheels.
The thing that cracks us up is the name of the hard top coupe. Think anyone in Hollywood was actually driving a Hudson Hornet “Hollywood” Hardtop?
