This second installment of our “Cool Trucks, Cool Ads” feature today takes us back to 1969 and a great ad from “The Dodge Boys” featuring a guy in a gorilla suit and a D-100 pickup. It sounds corny, and it is. But it’s great!

This Dodge ad seems to be catering to car buyers in attempt to lure them into the truck marketplace. Notice the features highlighted. No talk of payload capacities or horsepower. Instead, it’s about the ride, the interior quality, and the stereo. These are all factors that someone who had not considered a truck before would be concerned with. Dig the animated “Dodge boys” as well.
