Craigslist Find: A Bitchin’ Corner Carving 1977 Monza

Craigslist Find: A Bitchin’ Corner Carving 1977 Monza

We were under the impression that every late ’70s Monza was turned into a bracket race or class racing drag car. Happily, we were way wrong and this mean looking, fender-flared, V8-powered, fat-tired 1977 Monza proves it. Everything about this car is right, to us anyway.

From the photos, which are admittedly not the most detail oriented, the car appears to be in pretty good shape. The fender flares, while big, are not awful looking and the fact that the car is sporting meats that fill every inch of the wheel well completes the look to a T.

The seller claims are pretty vague, but the car apparently has a cage, disc brakes all around, a close ratio 4-speed, a scattershield on the transmission, and a full floating 9-inch rear end.

How insanely awesome would it be to show up and an autocross with this primered Monza from the Carter era, and wax the backsides of weiner euro-junk? This one may require further investigation.
