Craigslist Find: A Nova Stock Car You May Love to Hate

We’ve decried our love of old school stock cars before, so it is no shock that our gear oil filled heat was aflutter when we laid eyes on this Nova located in Hiram, Georgia. The catch? It’s not a vintage stock car, but a recently built one. Due to the obvious use of a sawzall this baby may send some people over the edge for the hackery of vintage tin.

The ad is short on words and details, but the selling price of $2200 seems good. The Nova has a 4.10-geared, posi-traction equipped, disc brake rear end. C-clip eliminators have been installed along with Afco coils springs, new ball joints, control arm bushings, tubular a-arms, and the seller is throwing in headers and racing mufflers.

It is being sold as a “Bomber” class car, which we’re woefully ignorant of, but we’re guessing it is a lower class sportsman circle track category. It looks ready for some vintage racing action as well.

The little we know about sportsman stock car racing tells us that the rather pristine condition of this Nova will be very short lived after a couple laps of bangin’ fenders with the competition.

So is this a travesty or a totally awesome use for an old Nova?  (We really like it)
