Craigslist Find: Chevy Gold! LS6 and LS7 454s Still In Their Original Crates!

Craigslist Find: Chevy Gold! LS6 and LS7 454s Still In Their Original Crates!

Well if this doesn’t blow the mind of every Chevy fan in the house we’re not sure what will. This seller in Lexington, Kentucky has a pair of the most hairy factory big blocks Chevrolet ever built. There is an LS6 and an LS7 engine still wrapped and in their original shipping crates. These engines have never been started or used in any capacity. The 450hp LS6 is one of the great muscle car engines of all time and that motor paired with the classic looks of a 1970 Chevelle make up one of the great “one-two” combos of the muscle car era. The LS7 is an even more rare and mean beast. Slated as a production engine but never produced, the LS7 was only offered as a crate engine and it was rated at 500hp. That 500hp is impressive but the fact that the engine made more than 600 lb/ft of torque made it a super shredder. These are two of the coolest Rat motors ever to roll down an assembly line and it is amazing that these are still crated up and in their plastic bags.

These infamous muscle car engines are well known enough that we don’t have to blather on about them. Instead, read the text of the ad, see the photos and then click on the ad for the asking price for BOTH engines. We think that the dude may actually be LOW on this deal!

I have for sale a pair of NOS still in the crate motors. Still wrapped in plastic 454’s been in my shop over 30 years.

1. engine number 1 is a new 454 LS6 450 hp. 11 to 1 compression closed chamber motor casting366250. it has intake installed ,flywheel, and harmonic balancer.

2. engine number 2 is a 454 LS7 465 hp. 12 1/2 to one open chamber motor. includes harmionic balancer and flywheel.
Buy one or both and either one will be the perfect motor for your 70 chevelle or corvette, great street rod motor. these will be the perfect way to finish off your project

Ive got the cash but its slated for the well I haven’t had for two years. That and they are in KY, how’s the internal humidity in those motors?

actually seems pretty reasonable price, they should be put on engine stands in a auto museum.

My dad worked at a Chevy dealer 60’s thru the early 80’s. He has told me many times that during the gas crunch of the 70’s, the parts department at the dealer he worked at was practically giving away new big blocks. They had them in the crate in front of the counter with something like 300 bucks on them and they sat there forever! He thinks they might have scrapped them or ended up giving them away (sob). Maybe these are some of those engines. The dealership was just about 3 hours away from Lexington Ky.

Even though I’ve had 540s, 572s, and now a Big Chief 632, the thought of an LS7 just about gives me goosebumps! I can remember when these were the be-all end-all Chevy big block.

You can transform yourself to the male of their choice according
to their personality type. She is also giver and for her
sex is special, something she can’t give to
anyone. Not really for starters plus a little bit expensive.
