The Thunderbird Super Coupe might have been a performance car by late 1980’s standards but that wasn’t saying much. With a 210 horse 3.8L V6 with a little Eaton blower on it, the thing was way better than some stuff in those days, but not nearly as good as this one is now. That’s because now it makes more than three times as much power as it did stock, thanks to a Kenny Duttweiler built 440 cubic inch small block. We know how good Kenny is at making power, so we’re sure those dyno numbers will be right on the included dyno sheets. With a Vortech and intercooler on it, we’re pretty sure it will make more than that with a pulley swap as well. The rest of the mechanicals are all heavy duty and modified to keep up with the power, and there doesn’t seem to be much of the rest of the car that hasn’t been touched either.

The seller says this is a well sorted, nice car, not something thrown together. And based on the list of modifications, we believe it.

I am the original owner. Car has been majorly modified, has 720 HP and 840# torque. Supercharged engine is a brand new (yes new) Dart block built by Kenny Duttweiler 441 cu in Windsor, AFR 205 heads, Vortech supercharger and intercooler, E40-D ultra-duty 4-speed (w/overdrive). Rear is IRS with 3.54 ratio (positraction). Exhaust is 3″ stainless with headers. Dyno sheets available.
Suspension is Eibach springs and Tokiko shocks. Injection is Edelbrock with Holley controller, MSD ignition. Car has twin batteries in trunk, two alternators, 25-gallon tank, and a major Rob Anderson hifi system. This is NOT a noisy, uncomfortable car. Rides and handles great, with Dunlop MXV-4 tires. Weight distribution is 53/47. Brakes are Hydro-Boost. Wheels are chromed originals. AC is new (condenser), car has 8 fans for radiator, AC, trans and intercooler. Runs cool. Color is Viper Red.
