This 1952 F1 truck, for sale in Athens, Georgia is a nice piece. It is sporting a flat head, a C4, and what seem to be Mustang Bullitt wheels. It is also equipped with a major league price tag of $52,000. As cool as this truck is, we’re not sure it’s $52,000 worth of cool. Are we wrong on that?
Don’t get us wrong, this truck is an awesome cruiser, and it would probably get lots of attention at car shows due to the flathead under the hood. We think that every passer-by would expect to peek in and see a crate small block Chevy plunked between the fenders. Seeing the aluminum headed, twin carb’d, header equipped flattie would drive them wild.
One bone we have to pick is the a/c. Not because having a/c is a bad thing, but more because of what it does to the awesome asthetic of the motor. To put it bluntly, it looks awful with its hoses and unsightly pump and pulleys mounted up on top of the motor. We guess when you’re in the truck and not sweating to death on a 90 degree day, it doesn’t matter, but we think it is kind of criminal to foul the look of a classic mill like that.
