Criagslist Pick: Vintage Twin Engine Racing Go Kart

Criagslist Pick: Vintage Twin Engine Racing Go Kart

Old go karts are especially neat. First off they weren’t built in China, and secondly, they could have had multiple engines on them like this one that’s for sale in Kansas City. Packing twin 12-horse engines, the potential for fun and grave injury are both nearly unlimited.

This is actually a modern, and very well done, recreation of an old K&P racing kart from the early 1960s. The repop is very true to the original as it sports the period correct West Bend engines that would have been found nearly fifty years ago.

So after the first couple of days terrorizing your neighborhood and being warned by the police, what do you do with this thing? Go race it at a vintagekarting event! See the Rear Engine American Racers (REAR) sanctioning body.
