With the three day weekend looming large in front of us, and a big green truck itching to hit a cruise night, we called the boss, reported that we had leprosy and ditched out of work early on Friday. That finally gave us a chance to hit a great local cruise night put on by the Connecting Rods Car Club. Held in Halifax, Ma, the Connecting Rods Cruise is open to all and really drew a cool crowd of iron.
Goliath was a big hit, but far from the biggest thing there. A nice 1974 Kenworth rolled in, as well as a giant Chevy mud truck that looked capable of attacking any bog, or river fording with ease. On the other side of the coin were a bunch of nicely restored sporty cars like MGs. Throw in some street brawlers, a couple of retro-rods, and a pile of neat muscle cars and you’ve got a recipe for fun.
BangShifters Jeff (of Hack Job General Lee fame) and Hamar (see the bitchin’ blue Chevy II below) were on hand and enjoying the night as well!

Nice shots Brian. I’m digging the K100, I’d like to see more big trucks at cruise nights.

Hey, thanks for the kind comment on the Chevy II and the trio pof pics!! I gave a yell to you on your way out but you were busy navigating the lot. Was good to see the truck on the road!
East Coast Acappella will perform live at the show Friday, June 17th – come out and enjoy the music that goes with the cars . . .
