After showing you a killer Detroit Diesel powered “rig rod” yesterday, we went trolling YouTube and found a video showing a creation called “The Beast” running down a strip in Tijuana, Mexico. This truck, and others of the ilk, really make us smile. By taking the massive big rig frame, stripping everything off of it, wildly modifying the cab and bobbing the hell out of the rear, you end up with a truck that looks like a massive hot rod. 

The crazy thing is that with the big, powerful diesel that was originally intended to be lugging tens of tons around and a crap ton less weight, these babies really move out! Storing the thing, insuring it, and convincing your state that you do not need a CDL license to drive it may all be challenges you’ll face along the way, though. There are too few of them to be a “trend” but it seems there is a dedicated cadre of BangShift approved lunatics putting these big boys together. 

Our mission is to find one and drive it! Until then, we’ll just dig up cool video like this:
