Here’s an angle on the Cash for Clunkers program we never considered: its potential use to ditch a car involved in a crime! A 23 year old Arizona man struck and killed a man riding a bicycle and the following day he was at a dealership trying to turn the car in as a “clunker.”

His BMW 325i was dented up and the man claimed he had struck an animal with the car, causing the damage. The good news is that the guy got busted and is facing some serious penalties.
