We got slipped a note by our pals at DragRacingOnline that it has been decided the 2010 March Meet will showcase a 32-car field of Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars. This orgy of horsepower will be brought to you live and in living color here on BangShift.com through our exclusive deal to broadcast the race live over the web. We’re working on smell-o-vision technology so you can get your snoot-full of nitro at home.

According to the information posted on DRO, this 32-car field will take the place of the normal “A” and “B” 16-car fields. We’re 100% behind this idea as it harkens back to everything that was great about the “good old days.”

As the race draws closer, we’ll give you the details on our live streaming coverage and just how we plan to improve on our debut performance at the 2009 NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion, which was held at Famoso Raceway, in Bakersfield, California, which also hosts the March Meet.
