A Hand Fabricated, Steel “Ferrari Enzo” Replica For Sale Now On Craigslist

A Hand Fabricated, Steel “Ferrari Enzo” Replica For Sale Now On Craigslist

Minutes ago, we were tipped off to the existence of this otherworldly looking machine by our man Brady at Powermaster Starters and Alternators for sale on the Rogersville, Tennessee Craigslist. Normally when something like that happens we put it in the queue for the next day, wait for it to launch out to the world and then savor the reaction from the readership, good or bad. This thing? It needs instant freaking attention. The seller says that he has some 3,000 hours of metal work into it and with a complete tube chassis and an all steel skin, we believe him. The front end of the thing is pretty bad ass looking, but for us it all goes kind of sideways from there on back. Power is supplied by a rear mounted GM V6 engine, which is probably not going to provide the same level of umph than the Ferrari mill that shoves a real Enzo down the road.

We admire something about this car, more like we admire the chutzpah behind its creation. It takes some balls and determination to get a project car like this car started and to this point. It isn’t some bondo goup monster, this is all metal work. Believe us, we wouldn’t buy it to save our lives, literally. We’d be pushed off a bridge at gunpoint before spending any money on this, but there’s an awesome factor here that cannot be denied.

Thinking about the 3,000 hours of work behind this car brings us right to the famous expression, “There’s a fine line between hobby and mental illness.” Truer words have never really been spoken about gearheads. This could be yours for a shade less than $20,000. Whaddya think?

After the investment of 3000 hours of labor, it would seem appropriate to make some attempt to protect your efforts from the degradation of rust.

Who puts 3000 hours into a car then leaves it out in the rain in bare metal to completely rust? I agree the work up front is great. The doors on back, it went to hell, especially the use of a 2.8 ltr and trans axle from a Fiero that is half as wide as the body.

Looks to me like the local community college metalworking class and the metal sculpture class went on a bender and ended up with this love child.

I think they graduated with a C+, but they probably still live in a trailer park.

Looks like he spent 2800 hours on the front end and then rushed the rest. Seems to have some talent that could be put to good use with some medical intervention.

Cars don’t have to sit out in the rain to look like that in Tennessee. the heat cycling in an un-airconditioned garage will do that if you don’t oil it constantly.

I have been staring at these pictures over and over again. Just trying to imagine what (or if) the builder was thinking during all those hours. I just don’t understand.
Hopefully the build-up is on film and we might see an interesting documentary in the near future.

At little “apple pie” pound out some steel , at little more “apple pie” and more steel. Time flies by and before you know it you have a car and a splitting headache. To hell with the rust!
