By now, you know that we salivate like one of Pavlov’s dogs when we see a cool straight axle car for sale on eBay or any other venue. This eBay Find is further proof of that! The 1967 Nova featured in this ad was built in 2010 and like lots of these cars, combines lots of the old looks with new technology and components to make the best of both worlds. The engine is a healthy small block that bellows out of fender well headers, a a five speed Tremec manual transmission, and it rolls around on Appliance slot mags. Like we said, this car rules.

Being that this car was just built a couple years back, it should need nothing other than gasoline to get out on the road. With the small block and five speed transmission, there is no reason that long distance cruises would be out of the question, although high speed cornering certainly would. The beam axle and parallel leaf springs supporting the front end work great while traveling in a straight line but tend to be deficient when it comes to sudden or high speed cornering maneuvers.

This car dodges most of the cliches with respect to straight axle recreations outside of the fake Moon-style tank hanging below the front grill. Ditching that thing would be about the only aesthetic change we’d make before hitting the road and burning the old school pie crust slicks to the cords for fun. The slot mags are boss. In fact, the whole package of the car is cool and pretty understated for such a wild machine.

The owner says that he spend in the “Mid-30s” to build the car. It will be interesting to see where the auction ends up!
