Oh hells yes. Our general fondness for the late 1970s Dodge specialty trucks like the “Lil’ Red Express” had us searching the hallowed halls of eBay for one a short while back. The trucks were the highest performing vehicles sold during those dark days and in our opinion, they have held onto their cool factor pretty well. This Pro Street version, with a Dyer blown 440ci Chrysler mill is totally awesome and because it still uses the exhaust stacks to vent the spent gasses, is 100% BangShift approved.
The seller does not say how much snot the engine has but with Force fuel injection powerered by a FAST XFI brain, 6psi of boost from the 8-71 huffer, good heads, and valve train parts, this truck is a runner. The interior is clean, if a little “billet-y” for our taste. The digital dash is neat in a bit of a retro way, and the exhaust stacks sound great funneling all that blown fury up the back of the cab.
The truck has a ladder bar rear suspension and the owner claims he has driven it about 150 miles since the job was completed. He has no dyno numbers of time slips, and without a roll cage, you’ll probably only get one before they throw your ass out of the strip!
