We were tipped off to the coolest looking 1953 Ford cab-over-engine hauler we’ve seen in some time by a loyal BangShift.com reader. It is for sale on eBay currently and by the looks of the truck, not a penny was spared nor was a corner cut on its build. It has the perfect combo of a modern chassis and a modern motor, all stuffed into the classic looking truck. It would be totally awesome to haul our junk on this rig!

These old cab-over trucks get lots of attention and we have seen them done a million different ways. This one is more street-roddy than most, but has an awesome stance, amazing paint, and a luxo interior that wouldn’t be our first choice but we’d roll in anyway. Old timers always chime up about how uncomfortable and awful these trucks were to drive, but these guys took the right direction by using a motorhome chassis to mount all the classic hardware on.

Four wheel disc brakes, a crate 454ci Chevy motor, power steering, and 22-inch wheels make this a thoroughly modern rig. There are two gas tanks, well one technically as the other 150-gallon tank is a dummy for symmetry’s sake.

The truck won class at the Dallas Autorama and will be a show stopper wherever it pulls up, especially if there is neat junk on its back.
