These are the wheels that time forgot. Apparently inflation didn’t though. The auction on these babies is set to end tonight and unless you have a bunch of extra cash laying around or you happen to be restoring a vintage funny car or dragster, you’ll be sitting on the sidelines like us.

At the time we posted this, the magic number was roughly $4,500 for the pair. Not the net of four, the freaking pair. It just goes to show how rare and coveted these pieces are. If you look at the sellers response to a question posed by an admirer, he seems to indicate that he’s got several pair of these.

It appears that these have never even had so much as a tire mounted to them. Amazing stuff and we believe the seller when he says, “You’ll never find a nicer pair.” We could stare at them for hours. Perfection.
