The title is not a typo. There was actually a Plymouth Duster made in 1979. It was really just an option package on a Volare, but the name and logo went on the car all the same. It would have had some wonky slant 6’er in it or optentially a choked V8 that appears to be junk.
The owner of the car in this eBay auction has taken this car and made it instantly cool by adding big ‘n’ littles, a 400hp 360, a built driveline, and a host of other automotive goodness you’ll have to read about to find out. We used to rip on cars like this constantly when they were snotless heaps that a guy bolted mufflers onto and called it a hot rod.
It’s an underappreciated body style, but this owner has really made something of it!
