We’d probably be dead within 15 minutes of owning this thing, but it would be a heck of a 15 minutes.
The seller does not say what it weighs, but it’s a freakin’ sand rail so it’s a featherweight. The seller claims that the motor makes 900 hp with 17 pounds of boost flowing through it and it’s hooked to a five-speed Forton Racing transmission.
Being that this blog item is coming from the East Coast, the idea of a sand rail is kind of foreign to us as they simply do not exist in any numbers on this edge of the country, there aren’t many dunes and what’s here are so environmentally protected, you can’t ride a bike on them let alone a 900 hp dune buggy.
The price is pretty steep, as he’s looking for a smidge under $90K to take it away turnkey, although the memories of scaring the daylights out of every single passenger (including NASA astronauts) may make it worth the buy.
We think it may be pretty good in the snow with those paddle tires as well. Picking fights with snowmobilers may be fun, but it would be like killing flies with a bazooka.
