Sometimes it is easier to tell what makes a car event bad than it is to actually pinpoint the stuff that makes something like the Lonestar Round Up such a success. Certainly not all car shows are created the same and the reality is that you can have just as much fun at a restaurant parking lot cruise as you can at monster gatherings like Lonestar but chances are you’ll have a better time spending days on ends wandering through a literal hot rodding heaven during the Lonestar Round Up than you will have in the lot of the local DQ. For us the people make it. If it is all about over-protective power parkers that aren’t into anything but the quality of their spot, we’re not sticking around. If the owners and people are into the scene and want to chat about their iron it makes the whole thing feel like home.
