2016 Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals: Our Final Gallery With A Little Bit Of Everything On The Property!

2016 Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals: Our Final Gallery With A Little Bit Of Everything On The Property!

It’s almost fitting that Goodguys held their Nostalgia Nationals event at Beech Bend when they do: it’s a perfect send-off to the racing and show season here in western Kentucky. The weather held up better than expected, the racing was amazing and the people were having the time of their lives. And they were going about the event exactly as you’d expect: when the owner of a legit 1969 Top Fueler completely nuked his engine, instead of being allowed to pack up and head home early, parts were scavenged from throughout the pits and by the middle of the night, the peaceful quiet was shattered by the sound of a newly-built engine coming to life for the first time. That’s how it’s done and that’s how it should be done. As more and more of the leaves hit the ground and cooler air starts to seep into the region, we know that we only have to wait until next spring for the engines to fire off once again. In the meantime, we have our last round of photos from Sunday, showing off just a little bit of everything that was going on all weekend. The Nostalgia Nationals isn’t one to be missed!
