I’ve been told for years that if I enjoyed the SEMA show, that I needed to go to the PRI show. I didn’t quite understand what they were talking about…SEMA is a huge deal, a massive undertaking, and pretty much impossible to take in over the course of a week. By comparison, the PRI show is a fraction of the size, doesn’t have show cars parked in every last corner and doesn’t have tens of thousands of people walking through the aisles. I just figured that it would be a 1/5th scale SEMA. Oh, how wrong I was…PRI is a whole ‘nother animal altogether, and I understand why everybody told me to go. It’s the difference between listening to Nirvana’s “Nevermind” cd versus their MTV Unplugged event: nothing against the noise, but somehow it is much better stripped down to the basics. You had parts, sellers, buyers, media and enough cars to make it worthwhile, and you don’t have massive crowds or tons of extra fluff. SEMA is pretty…PRI is pure business and I love it. Lohnes and I are on the ground going every which way but loose putting in work, but for now, check out a few teaser clips of what we’ve been seeing from the show by clicking on a photo below!
