BangShift member and Wisconsinite Mikes343Sharpstick is a dude who loves his own bitchin’ AMC Javelin and has recently picked up an old IMSA racer AMC project as well. When he let us know that he would be attending the 2011 Kenosha Homecoming, a show that celebrates Jeffrey/Nash/Rambler and AMC machines, we told him not to forget his camera!
Mike delivered the good with great shots of some AMC race cars, a buch of nice street machines and resto jobs as well as a few Nash-mobiles to balance it out.
The show was held right on the shore of Lake Michigan and the weather, as well as most of the cars, appeared to be perfect. Always the scrappy underdog, AMC’s history on the race track is one that followers of the brand are rightfully proud of. They won at the drags, on the road courses, and on the ovals of America, all the while with a budget that was dwarfed by the traditional “Big 3” in Detroit.

Cool pics……..had some good times attending the event in the past.
I’ve seen the SS/AMX and I think the same guy owns the Breedlove car.
Nice shots Mike. Why do you suppose that guy is wearing a hard hat while downing a beer?
Thanks, didn’t get nearly the pictures I would have liked, busy hot day!
The fella is drinking a soday, and his hard hat is actually red/white/and blue.:) Likely part of his AMC uniform, lol.
I was talking to the owner of the breedlove car on friday eve, he has another AMX but not the SS car. He has had the Breedlove car since the late 80’s. I noticed most AMC owners have had their cars for a long time. They don’t seem to flip cars to often.
