An Upset Win in Pro Street Power Adder at Drag Week

It’s never over until the fat Monte Carlo sings! All week long at Hot Rod Drag Week, the attention in Pro Street Power Adder has been on Eric Yost’s 7-second turbo ’82 Firebird, but that car blew up its trans in Hebron, Ohio, on the second to last day of Drag Week. Yost made a huge effort to get the car running at Muncie, Indiana for the final day. He made it to the track, but blew up the trans again and coasted to a slow pass that knocked him all the way down to third place.

That gave the Pro Street PA win to Michael Roy in his amazingly huge and pretty Monte Carlo that went 8.64, 8.59, 8.58, and 8.97 the first four days. What a great story!

Second place fell to Steve Fagan in the black S10 Blazer seen in the BangShift galleries.
