Holy Cow! A short time ago, Brad Personett ran 5.87 at 246.89 mph in his turbocharged Camaro Pro Mod at the NHRA Carolina Nationals. This is the quickest run ever for a turbocharged Pro Mod. Personett knoks Mike Moran off the top turbo perch with this lap.
The lap was about two hundredths of a second and 1 mph short of the NHRA Pro Mod series record. This is the nuclear bomb of turbo laps and we predict that it won’t be long before the fur is flying over the legality of turbos in the class. Amazing, and they have a least one more qualifying round tomorrow!
