Barring an “out of nowhere” performance from another competitor, the team of Poteet and Main will be taking home the Hot Rod Top Time honors at the close of Speed Week today. They have recorded a 400 mph record and are bolting in the bad boy motor for action today.
This is video of the whole team conversing after a 418mph lap that they made mid-week. There’s George Poteet, Ron Main, and engine man Kenny Dutweiler sharing smiles and strategy for the end of the week.
The Speed Demon is quickly becoming one of the legendary ‘liners to have ever turned their wheels on the salt. Is this a car capable of making the mythical 500mph run in coming years? We’re sure not going to bet against these guys!
