Bitchin’ Rods Gallery: The St Patty’s Day Bash At Murray Kustom Rods – Ft. Worth, Texas

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Charles worked his ass off during the weekend he spend at the Goodguys show. Between harassing Chad, shooting a couple of upcoming feature cars, making autocross laps in the 48 Hour Camaro, and generally owning the photographic end of things, he also stopped by Murray Kustom Rods in Fr. Worth for their St Patrick’s Bash that brought in a bitchin’ load of rods and kustoms along with a shop tour!

The cars looks really good in the evening light and the interior of the shop shows all of the projects that Heath Murray and his guys have going on. There’s a cool LS powered deuce on the frame table, a beautiful ’57 that looks fresh out of paint, and LSR roadster, a pro touring Camaro and a host of other cars coming together in various stages. We dig the photos of the shop’s well used and old school lathe and mill. As more and more stuff if done by CNC machine, water jet, and other precision computerized instrument, it is always good to see shops that build old school cars like this stick with some old school methods where possible.

We’re officially jealous of Charles’s weekend now because while we had plenty of green beer and corned beef on St. Patty’s Day, Charles hung out with way cooler automotive stuff than we did! Hit the link below to see Murray Kustom Rods and you’ll be damned jealous, too!
