Boneville Speed Week 2010 – Sunday – Presented by Spectre Performance

As we predicted, the crew at Spectre Performance rocketed into the record books on Sunday with a two run average of 324mph to shatter the existing A/BGS record by a large margin of nearly 50mph. The best news is that this is the “little” motor, they are going to try and bump this record even more before putting on their daddy pants and dropping the “real” engine in there.

One of Spectre’s primary product lines are their air filters. This car is equipped with two of them and they definitely did their job on Sunday. When the crew saw them completely caked in salt, they feared the caustic mineral had made its way into the engine. These fears were unfounded as the filters stopped it all cold before any passed through.

We hear that things are moving smoothly and swiftly on the salt and as the week progresses, more records will fall link bowling pins. Our own Chad Reynolds will kick of our own BangShift.com Bonneville Speed Week 2010 coverage tomorrow with photos and video from the salt.

Special thanks again to Spectre Performance for allowing us to use these photos and for their generous presenting sponsorship for this year’s coverage!
