The 2010 SCTA/BNI Bonneville Speedweek rocked, and we owe our boys at Spectre Performance, and their 2100 horsepower Cadillac powered Speedliner, for a lot of the excitement. Spectre owner Amir Rosenbaum not only got his license runs completeed in the Spectre Speedliner, but also set two records! He set one of them a couple of times in fact. With a top speed of 361 for the week, even almost flying the car couldn’t keep a smile off the Spectre crew’s face.

To finish Speedweek with even one record is a feat that many people never get to experience. For the team at Spectre to set a record over 300mph, license a brand new driver, swap engines to run a different class, and then set another record over 300mph, all in their first Speedweek with the Spectre Speedliner is a great accomplishment, and it was way bitchin to watch. Did we mention that 300mph means you are in a special chapter of the Bonneville 200mph club that is represented by a Blue Hat? Well Amir now wears a cool Blue Hat. And he hates hats. We think he’ll get used to this one.

We happened to have been around the Spectre stables when the Streamliner was purchased. It has come a long way, and been completely rebuilt. We were also there nudging them towards the Caddy power provided by Courtney and the gang at Cad Company. And while we know that this is but a scratch on the surface of cool things the Spectre Team will accomplish with the car, it sure is cool. Hell, they built the World’s Fastest Cadillac. With 2100 horsepower, Spectre and Cad Company may also have the highest horsepower Caddy ever.

Again major congratulations to the gang at Spectre. They didn’t just present our 2010 Speedweek content, they created some of it too!
