Car Show Gallery: The Automobile Driving Museum Charity Car Show – El Segundo, California

Car Show Gallery: The Automobile Driving Museum Charity Car Show – El Segundo, California
Saturday morning was foggy and drizzling when we sent our man Scott to El Segundo with his camera. He was tasked to cover the 4th Annual Car People For Education Benefit Car Show at the Automobile Driving Museum. Being next door to the LAX airport, El Segundo has been the home of many companies in the aerospace field. In fact, the museum is in a building that was once owned by Hughes Aircraft. If only the walls could talk.

This year’s show was featuring Tri-five Chevy’s and Thunderbirds, so there were tons of those great cars there. Also, Mattel Toys, and Hot Wheels, are located down the street from the museum and were sponsors of the car show. Hot Wheels made up a very limited edition of their Hot Rod Short School Bus painted up in ED! colors, the El Segundo Education Foundation. It was a limited run of only 750 which makes them rare already.

Also at the show were all the cars from the movie “Duece Of Spades”, the recently completed movie about bang shifters in the ’50’s. Copies of the movie were available on DVD in the museum as well. Our SoCal reporter, Scott Liggett, had an unique car show to cover and he came back with more than 100 photos for all you Bangshifters to enjoy.
