Bob Chiluk and Greg Rourke, BangShift.com’s Cagney and Lacey errr…Starsky and Hutch… of event coverage, were on site at the DuQuoin Street Machine Nationals shooting photos and features for all you BangShifters to enjoy. These are the last of our photos from DuQuoin, so enjoy them! We will start showing you car features later this week.
Car Craft Magazine’s Street Machine Nationals in DuQuoin was hallowed ground for street machines and pro street cars in the ’80’s and ’90’s, and after being shut down since 1998 was back in full force this weekend. Everyone that is anyone in the Street Machine and Pro Street world was on hand cruising and wingin’ the throttles on anything and everything cool.
Oh Yeah!
I will be driving my new 66 Chevelle dragweek car there for the show Saturday and then to the midnight drags at I-57 dragstrip after the park closes.
It just doesn’t get any better! Kudos to all these guys and their great rides! Everyone be safe and have a great time! “Hoot”
No Video …????
the sleepers are out there
Cagney and Lacey? Can’t we be Starsky and Hutch?
Need Video ….. 🙁
You guys are Cagney and Lacey, Grippo is Matlock, and I’m Columbo
I’m afraid to ask what Charles thinks I am.
With Bob and Gregg tag teaming, no show car is gets away from their cameras.
I was hoping for Cannon….he was fat and drove mostly Fords.
I wish I could have been there. Looks awesome!
Did the event get any of the storms that rolled through the area?
I met Greg at the Street Machine Nationals Saturday, it was great to meet someone from the Bangshift staff out there.
We had a good conversation, and he will be sending Bangshift a photo of my ’75 Duster.
Rad-ness
LOVING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took out my old SM NATS T Shirts and wore them this week in honor of the Big Show.
I don’t have my Nats shirts anymore. Even if I did my fat belly wouldn’t fit!
Some cool old feature cars there…. But no Rick Dobbertin J2000 or Matt and Debby Hays cutlass…… THOSE were iconic P/street cars back in the day….!!!
