Friday, April 13th, 2017 kicks off ChallengerFest 9 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. If you have any kind of positive feeling for anything modern Mopar related and you haven’t checked out the get-together that Speedy and friends have created, you need to. Racing, a car show, an auction and more will be had throughout the weekend. We’ve ran with these guys for a couple of years and the people we have met there have been instrumental in getting the Angry Grandpa Chrysler turned into an impressive daily driver that can whip up on the track when the need arises, but one thing in particular that deviates from the normal ChallengerFest activities deserves a mention: the Demon.
As of right now I don’t know if someone is going to be bringing a Dodge Challenger Demon to race. But we do know that one of the sponsors has a Demon in their possession. Racing4Vets, a group that helps wounded veterans re-integrate and find functionality through motorsports has a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that they procured via Laukemper Motors, and will be putting up for auction on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at the Holiday Inn University Plaza hotel in Bowling Green around 7 p.m. that evening.
