Having been on a brief respite from traveling over the last couple of weeks, I made sure to spend as much quality car time with my boys as I could while I was home. We’ve hit a couple of cruise nights, the drags, and they have helped me wrench on stuff in the driveway. It has been a fun break that is coming to a quick end in the next couple of days. The kick off to our Labor Day weekend fun was a visit to the Connecting Rods cruise night in Buford T Justice last Friday.
The Connecting Rods cruise night is a weekly gathering that happens just down the road from us in southeastern Massachusetts every Friday. We hit it as often as we can but it had been a while since our last visit. We picked the right night to get back down there because it was the largest group of cars we have ever seen packed into the place. From stock Model Ts to wild pro street Monte Carlos, classic trucks, big rigs, and even some neat little furrin’ cars, it was a fun night. The kids loved it, the weather was great, and it is always nice to cruise your junk on a summer evening. There are precious few left, so get out there and have some fun yourself!
