Charles Wickam, our talented embedded Texas BangShift photographer has been laying low as of late. The oppressive summer heat in Texas tends to slow the scene down for a couple months. Now that it isn’t hot enough to melt steel on the sidewalk, Wickam is snapping away. He hit one of the familiar haunts recently with a trip to the Kemah Cruise in Kemah, Texas.
The cruise is really wide open with hard core drag machines and weird-ass Scion imports parked right down the row from one another. While we’d rather exercise than ride in a Scion, we dig the fact that this is a gathering of car people and it isn’t broken down by denominational lines. The tougher and weirder times get, the more all of us need to stick together, even if we don’t exactly fawn over the other guy’s junk, we respect that he digs it.
