Event Coverage: 347 Photos from Rod & Kulture Magazine’s DragFest 2010

After hearing about Dragfest for the past couple of years, we vowed not to miss it in 2010. Rod & Kulture magazine has been committed to putting on a real nostalgia drag race, with traditional hot rods and drag cars, for the past three years. We say they hit the mark, because we haven’t seen straight axle, wheels up, fuel burning drag racing like this in years.

From A/FX and Funny Cars, to Fuel Altereds and Model As, we saw it all. And we’ve got the sunburn to prove it!

The nitro was thick in the air as a full field of Nostalgia Funny Cars and Fuel Altereds ran down the famed Famoso quarter mile, and everyone was on their feet for 1/8th mile burnouts from the likes of Pure Hell and the Winged Express. Dragfest also offered entertaining wheelstanders and jet cars to fill in between rounds of Gas, Hot Rod, and Traditional Hot Rod classes. Our favorites had to be the Traditional Hot Rod class that featured solid axle gassers, AFX cars, traditional hot rods, and more. We couldn’t get enough.
