It’s been tough to sit here at the Easy Coast bureau and watch the photos roll in from afar, but it sure looks like the kickoff to the 2009 NHRA Heritage Series lit off like a barrel of TNT dipped in nitro! All these photos came from the Saturday action during the 51st March Meet at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California, where capacity crowds jammed the place.
