Event Coverage: The 2010 Beatersville Car and Bike Show

We know what you’re thinking, and you are right. Beatersville is the greatest name for a car show ever. The 2010 version of the show was held on Sunday, May 30, in Louisville, Kentucky, and thanks to BangShifter Chris Morgan, we’re able to share several hundreds photos from the show with you. There’s some awesome stuff in here from old trucks to ancient drag cars.

The show is geared toward traditional hot rods and there’s faded paint, surface rust, and patina galore. What’s interesting to us in these excellent photos that Chris took is the subtle shift that seems to be taking place with the “trad rod” genre. There are fewer death-trappy looking cars now. Sure there is some awesome period stuff happening but not as much stuff that looks as though it would cause a tetanus outbreak for three city blocks if it wrecked. We love ’em all, but that seems like a good thing to us.

The show had bands and a “Miss Beatersville” contest (would any woman want to live in a place called Beatersville?) along with all the mechanical things to oogle. Hit the link below and check out a ton of photos from the show!
