Event Coverage: The 2010 KKOA Leadsled Spectacular

The KKOA Leadsled Spectacular is billed as the world’s oldest and most established Custom Car event. It was started thirty years ago and continues to thrive today as evidenced by the great photos taken by BangShifter Charles Edwards. He shared more than 100 of his snaps from the show and there is some neat junk in the pile! Low and slow has never looked better!

The event featured a multitude of things, but the highlights were 1/8 mile drag racing on Friday, pin-striping, two stages of music and a live action roof chop that was completed over the course of the weekend.

What’s fun to do is to look at these photos and then check back on yesterday’s gallery of the traditional rod show from Sweden that we published. Virtually all of the cars could swap places and be right at home. Hot rods are universally cool!

Thanks to Charles for allowing us to share these photos!
