Earlier this month at the Goodguys Orange County Get-Together (click here to see the BangShift.com show gallery), the organization hosted its annual Editors’ Challenge autocross. Our own Chad Reynolds was the announcer for the contest that pitted 11 magazine editors against each other in a unique format that tested their skills in not only their own cars but the same three vehicles which each had to drive as well. Khan Media supplied us with some great shots of the event.
Nick Licata of Camaro Performers magazine bested the field, but not by much. Jeff Smith of Car Craft fame (among other titles during his career) was only two hundredths behind Licata when the dust settled. Henry De Los Santos of Chevy High Performance was also in the hunt.
As cool as the drivers were, the cars kicked some serious ass. BangShift.com sponsor Spectre Performance supplied their 1970 Mustang as one of the cars all the editors had to drive…some more successfully than others as the photos show!
