(Photos by Justin Oney) – The Goodguys have been stopping in Columbus, Ohio for the last 15 years and for good reason. The show has a life of its own and seems to get bigger and better each year. Outside of the massive fleet of cars, trucks, and cool motorcycles, the other reason the Columbus show is huge is due to the fact that Goodguys holds their yearly Sponsor Showdown on the autocross at the event. Each event sponsor has a car entered in the fight. Some companies use their own in-house projects and others bring in ringers to run for the glory. At the end of the day it is one of the hardest core autocross events in the country and it features the premier Pro Touring cars on the road today. The drivers aren’t all that shabby either!
Like last year, BangShifter Justin Oney attended the show and had his camera with him. Justin shared more than 100 great photos that feature lots of show cars along with just about every competitor in the sponsor shootout. This is a great gallery and will have you eyeballing the calendar for July of 2013. If you’ve got the time, make sure you check this show out, especially if you are into autocross and Pro Touring cars. It is like the gearhead all-star game!
