Event Gallery: The Orange County Cruisin’ Association Labor Day Cruise 2010

The show and event galleries continue to stream in from our nationwide network of rogue agents. Earlier we took you to Lead East in New Jersey and now we’re headed to Orange County in sunny SoCal for the 2010 OCCA Labor Day Cruise. This event is a huge car show with the added bonus of the suddenly popular autocross, amongst other family events. Scott Liggett and Dustin Gould hit the OCCA Labor Day Cruise this year and knocked the photos right out of the park.

The recent resurgence of autocross events at big car shows is pretty cool. There was a time, like the dark ages of the late 1970s and early 1980s, where the autocross (even if it was called something different) was part and parcel of most large shows. Interest waned until recently, and now they are back with authority. We love them because it is far cooler to see a car rolling door handle to door handle than sitting with a lawn chair behind it.

While it is true that we are openly jealous of Scott and Dustin’s SoCal locale, we’re even more jealous that Scott got to wheel his big Impala SS around the autocross and we were stuck at home wrenching!
