Event Coverage UPDATE: Carbon Customs presents the 2011 Run to Music City

Here at BangShift, we are all about driving your hot rods. If that means a trip to the local cruise night once a week, great. A roadtrip? Even better. But if you actually go out and put all your performance parts to the test, that is the ultimate. I’m the guy that you’ll hear announcing at all the Goodguys Autocross events, as well as the Run to Music City, Heidt’s Performance Car Challenge, and Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational and I have to say this might be the best event yet. I couldn’t snap photos of everything at this weekend’s Run to Music City, because I was too busy gabbing on the mic, but I did grab 150 plus photos for you to enjoy.

Thanks to Carbon Customs, BFGoodrich, Optima Batteries, and all the sponsors of this great event, plus the amazing group of volunteers, the 57 competitors who brought out their hot rods had a great venue, great competition, and a great time.

Kyle Tucker took home the overall win after turning in the lowest time in both the Autocross and Road Course portions of the competition. His second place finish in the Speed Stop Challenge was beat only by Chevrolet’s ABS brakes on Harry Hinkle’s Corvette. Billy Utley and Jeff Schwartz rounded out the top three, and we have top ten results posted below.

Check out the photos.
