One of the nation’s coolest cruises is not a “cruise night” it is a “cruise dawn”. Donut Derelicts draws an eclectic and killer mix of street machines, hot rods, muscle cars, and exotica every single Saturday morning before the sun comes up in southern California. These photos were taken at the gathering yesterday morning and at the moments that these photos were being taken it was quite literally minus 15-degrees below zero at the east coast office. That’s cold enough to piss off a penguin. People are wearing light jackets in these photos which were taken around six o’clock in the morning. Damn them. Damn them one and all.
We kid, of course. The Donut Derelicts Saturday morning cruise has been going since 1984 and shows absolutely no signs of letting up. That’s awesome, even when we’re freezing our asses off back here. For those of you who also have frozen giblets, use this gallery to warm you up and get you thinking about fun summertime car stuff!
